denominada área 6 es la otra gran zona de excavación de la campaña 2014. </span>Se
localiza junto al castillo<span style="font-weight: normal;"> medieval, en la ladera sureste de la meseta de
Giribaile y se corresponde con un abrigo con una pequeña explanada que, en
parte, ha podido ser estudiada. </span><o:p></o:p></div>

excavación ha resultado difícil debido a la </span>inestabilidad de la roca<span style="font-weight: normal;"> que
en el pasado provocó la caída interior de parte de la bóveda y, recientemente,
de parte del alero exterior situado en el frente de la cueva. </span></div>

hasta nuestros días<span style="font-weight: normal;">, de modo que las ocupaciones de este espacio han ido

pertenecientes a la Segunda Edad del Hierro y demostrar la existencia de una
terraza que sirvió para delimitar y ordenar un espacio a la entrada de la

una superficie de 94.79 m<sup>2</sup> y un perímetro de 46.91 m y recuerda
otros ejemplos cercanos de santuarios asociados a la Cultura Ibérica como los
de la </span>Cueva de la Lobera<span style="font-weight: normal;"> en Castellar y </span>Collado de los Jardines en

presencia de varias </span>placas quemadas superpuestas<span style="font-weight: normal;">, de un </span>enlosado de

relacionarse con un ritual realizado a la entrada de la cueva. </span></div>

el centro de culto se asocia directamente a la ciudad, a diferencia de
los dos grandes santuarios citados que se localizan junto a los caminos, en un

falta por investigar mucho en la zona de la cueva-santuario, especialmente por
lo que se refiere a la comprensión del diseño general y a la circulación de los
fieles en el interior de la terraza, incluyendo el posible uso de escaleras de
piedra que ponían en comunicación varias dependencias ubicadas a diferentes
alturas, a las que por el momento no podemos asignar una función concreta. </span></div>
